Ghosts season 6: release date, the two specials and the midseason return

Halloween on October 29, Christmas on December 10 — and the rest in 2027.

Ghosts season 6 premieres on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS with "Halloween 6: The Mirror", an hour-long special made of two episodes. Sam is away in Australia, so Kyle is left watching the ghosts; Hetty reconnects with her estranged sister Margaret, and Bela throws a Halloween party. The producers have said the special introduces a new kind of ghost. A second hour-long special, for Christmas and riffing on Die Hard, follows on Thursday, December 10, in the same slot. Both stream on Paramount+ the next day. CBS has moved the regular season to midseason so that its fall schedule can launch Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and the new comedy Eternally Yours; the remaining episodes of the 22-episode season return in early 2027, with no exact date yet. Episode 6 of the season will be the show's 100th.
